SOME RESOURCES FOR
OUR "INSPIRATION" DISCUSSION
Things are shaping up nicely for our "Booklist" chat about
using Inspiration in the classroom. We've lined up two staff members at
Inspiration to join us -- a curriculum developer and a product support person.
Their focus will be entirely on ways to use Inspiration to meet your and
your students' needs. No sales pitches, etc. These are not sales folks,
and our Listserv is not interested in selling or promoting products.
The discussion will begin Monday, September 10. Anyone interested in taking
part should join our [MWbooklist] listserv before Monday, although we'll
accept you anytime you can get there! You'll find sign-up information below.
To kick things off, John will send a message to Booklist subscribers.
You don't have to have Inspiration to join the chat, but it will certainly
be helpful to be familiar with it. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A FULLY FUNCTIONING
TRIAL VERSION of Inspiration, and the newer program, Kidspiration, at the
company website. These trial programs only work for 30 days but they are
just like the regular software.

Judging from all the private email we've gotten expressing interest in this
Booklist chat, we can learn a lot about graphic organizers and visual teaching/learning
tools from this experience, specific product notwithstanding.
