"Through the Eyes of Christmas . . ."

On a very practical note, here is a Christmas related writing site where
students will write about Christmas through the eyes of a Senior Citizen,
a Christmas Tree and many more.It is complete with a rubric to mark student
writing. As I read it, I could think of a few other kinds of "eyes"
that I would include on the list. When students are encouraged to "see
through the eyes" of others,they often see themselves more clearly.
Analogies enable students to see the viewpoints from something/someone else,
the viewpoints will often vary in dramatic ways. Here is the URL:
