Educating young adolescents should be an urgent priority in every school
system and in every community. Some school systems have taken up that challenge,
but others have not. A coalition for middle school reform can bring together
the resources needed to advocate for and support the most important goals
in middle school education: high achievement for all students and a firm
foundation for their future as students and productive adults.
Wherever your own community may be in the process of middle school reform,
a coalition of local partners increases the capacity of schools to meet
these challenges for all children.
